UNEP IETC's involvement
in the 3rd World Water Forum in Japan...
"Demonstration of UNEP IETC New Training and Knowledge Management Tools"

This was a session with a practical focus. Three new and
highly relevant tools were introduced and demonstrated, namely:
Aqua-shed Online: An e-learning training package on integrated watershed
management.
ESTIS: ESTIS is a
multi-language, Information System (IS) management tool to assist the
transfer of Environmentally Sound Technologies (EST). ESTIS encompasses
three integrated components* providing a decentralized IT network for
improved access and local control in EST related information transfer. The
ESTIS concept has been driven by an international group of people dedicated
to EST transfer for sustainability.

Website; ESTIS Community for sharing EST resources; and ESTIS Global for
searching for ESTs]
EnTA Online: An e-learning training package on Environmental Technology
Assessment - a procedure for evaluating the suitability of a technology for
use at a specific location. |
