BQUEST |
| |
The Toolkit is a product of the BEQUEST
(Building Environmental Quality Evaluation for Sustainability through
Time) project. This software demonstrates a system to support decision
makers concerned with Urban sustainability. The system is composed of
4 modules: the Protocol module, the Assessment Methods Module, the Advisors
module and the Glossary.

BRE Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) |
| |
For over a decade, BRE's Environmental
Assessment Method (BREEAM) has been used to assess the environmental
performance of both new and existing buildings. BREEAM assesses the
performance of buildings in the following areas: management, energy
use, health and well-being, pollution, transport, land use, ecology,
materials, and water.

Building Environmental and Economic Sustainability
(BEES) |
| |
The BEES (Building for Environmental and
Economic Sustainability) software brings to your fingertips a powerful
technique for selecting cost-effective, environmentally-preferable building
products. Developed by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and
Technology) Building and Fire Research Laboratory with support from
the U.S. EPA Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program, the tool
is based on consensus standards and designed to be practical, flexible,
and transparent.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design(LEED) |
| |
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design) Green Building Rating System? is a voluntary, consensus-based
national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.
Members of the U.S. Green Building Council representing all segments
of the building industry developed LEED and continue to contribute to
its evolution.

Ten Shades of Green |
| |
Ten shades refers to ten key issues that
need to be considered to create a fully green architecture. It refers
as well to the built schemes that are the exhibition's focus, and to
their various degrees of 'greenness.'
