World Resources 1996-97
In April 1996, the World Resources Institute, in conjunction with UNEP, UNDP, UNCHS (Habitat) and the World Bank, launched the English version of their World Resources 1996- 1997 in the United States. World Resources 1996-97 features a special report on environmental challenges facing the world's cities - home to 60 percent of the global population by the year 2000 - as well as the latest available data on economic, population and natural resource conditions and trends for nearly every country. The launch of this publication in Japan is planned for the end of 1996. Readers can order the English text from:
